Eric Gertler currently serves as Chairman of U.S. News & World Report and CEO of Ulysses Ventures. Prior to these roles, Eric served as former Co-Chairman and Co-Publisher of the New York Daily News; Executive Vice President of the New York City Economic Development Corporation; and as Managing Director of the Center for Economic Transformation under both Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Mayor Bill de Blasio. Prior to his government service, Eric successfully led several technology and media companies—he was CEO of Altruik, PrimeAxis Media, and Privista and was President of U.S. News, Fast Company and The Atlantic. He began his career as an attorney and is a founding board member of City Year New York and a member of YPO-WPO. A graduate of Brown University, Eric also holds degrees from the Sorbonne at the University of Paris and the Institut D’Etudes Politiques in Paris and a law degree from American University (where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review).
