Dr. Yin has over 20 years of clinical experience working with children with special healthcare needs and neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD). He is an American Board of Pediatrics certified physician in both Developmental-Behavioral and General Pediatrics and holds the position of Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California (USC) and Associate Professor of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy in the Mrs. T.H. Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupation Therapy at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. Dr. Yin serves as the Medical Director of the Boone Fetter Clinic at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, the Director of the USC University Center of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) and is Co-Principal Investigator of CHLA’s Autism Speaks Autism Treatment Network site. His clinical background reveals his longstanding interest in improving access to high-quality healthcare for individuals with ASD and decreasing disparities in care. His interest in improving healthcare disparities for children with ASD has been informed by his work at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, which serves culturally and socioeconomically diverse, mostly under-privileged children and their families from Los Angeles County.
