Luz Bratcher

With over a decade of experience in the design industry, Luz Bratcher thinks Design is one massive exercise in Hospitality: creating meaningful experiences where people feel like they belong. Currently, Luz is at Amazon as an interactive designer in the Device Design Group. Prior to Amazon, she has spent her time supporting startup communities and building delightful user experiences for companies like Glowflorge, Techstars, Startup Weekend, and Haiku Deck. In addition to being a veteran maker of products and experiences, Luz is also a cultivator of spaces for creative community, believing making great design stems from making great designers. She has been a founding organizer for CreativeMornings: Seattle, a volunteer mentor for Hexagon UX, and has wrangled speakers at both Ignite Phoenix and Ignite Seattle. Outside of work, Luz is always looking for new experiences to add to her ever-expanding collection of hobbies. Currently she’s exploring how to make custom watercolor paints, knit a sweater, and how to make the perfect bagel.
