Raphael Hernandez

Raphael Hernandez is the Senior Military Program Leader at Amazon, responsible for the sharing the "Where Experience Meets Opportunity" story with the military community job seekers. Prior to joining Amazon, Raphael was a Marketing Strategist at Headquarters Marine Corps, and worked at Amtrak as a Senior Talent Acquisition Manager.
Raphael served as a logistics officer and as a multi-tour recruiting expert in the Marines, retiring after 22 years of service in 2015. During his military career, Raphael was the Chief Marketing Officer, Marine Corps Recruiting Command, leading a national level marketing efforts designed to inspire young Americans to serve in the Marines. Raphael served in Afghanistan and Iraq in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. He participated in humanitarian and disaster relief operations in Sri Lanka and Thailand. Prior to earning his commission in the Marines, Raphael was a program manager at the El Paso Housing Authority, El Paso, Texas.
