Vincent Hourdin
Vincent, a research engineer at OPTIS, has a PhD in computer science and is an amateur astronomer. He has experience in spectral data acquisition and manipulation both at work with OPTIS and in local observatories. With four years of experience at OPTIS and past video game programming experience, he also has experience in 3D rendering techniques, both for accurate visualizations and for real-time as used in virtual reality. He manages projects for OPTIS, in particular a three-year research project with Airbus, exploring the use of virtual reality in cockpit simulation.
