Jay Hartzell

Jay Hartzell is the president
of The University of Texas at Austin and Trammell Crow Regents
Professor in Business. An alumnus, and former McCombs School of
Business dean, he’s been with UT since 2001, post tenure at NYU’s Stern School. Hartzell holds a B.S. from Trinity University and a Ph.D. in finance from UT Austin. He’s renowned for research in real estate finance, corporate finance, and governance, with work published in top journals
like the Journal of Finance and Journal of Financial Economics.
