Tom currently serves as Vice President, Digital Operations for Walmart’s Ecommerce & Online Grocery segment. He previously served as Vice President, Central Operations and had responsibility for a number of areas focused on the simplification and continuous improvement of operations across both Neighborhood Markets and Supercenters – these include the standardization of our operating procedures through ‘One Best Way’, the Activity Management Office, Reporting and Mobile Applications Strategy and the recently developed Walmart Academies organization. Tom started his career with Asda, Walmart’s UK subsidiary, as a department manager on the graduate program in 2007. Tom has held a wide number of management roles in store from Customer Service, to Fresh Food before eventually promoted to run stores in the Central England area of South East Yorkshire. Tom spent two years in the Asda Home Office working in Central Retail Operations where he supported teams running Communications, Work Force Management, Asset Protection, Retail Operations and Online Grocery operations. In 2013 Tom moved to the U.S. to work as Development Coordination Director in Walmart International where he had responsibility for supporting various teams across Strategy, Real Estate, M+A and Private Brands before localizing in Walmart U.S. as Senior Director Small Formats where he built the foundation for Central Operations before expanding his responsibilities to Supercenters. Tom holds a First Class Bachelor of Science Degree in Geography from Loughborough University, England and currently lives in Farmington, Arkansas.
