Diana Horvath
Diana Horvath is President of 2Blades Foundation, a non-profit organization that discovers, advances, and delivers improvements in crop disease resistance to increase the supply of safe, healthy food through effective, sustainable, and environmentally-friendly genetic solutions. Dr. Horvath helped to co-found 2Blades in 2004 with Roger Freedman in order to accelerate the translation of advances in plant science to the field to prevent yield losses due to deadly diseases. Prior to 2Blades, she served as Science Director at ATP Capital, a venture capital firm focused on companies creating efficiencies in agricultural through biotechnologies. Dr. Horvath was a National Science Foundation and Zeneca Plant Science postdoctoral fellow at the Rockefeller University, and received her Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from Northwestern University.
