Lawrence Flam

Larry Flam has had a long and rich career of over 30 years in the hospitality industry. He lives by the idea that restaurants are guest driven, and that every single thing we do in the hospitality industry is aimed at making the guest experience memorable. Currently consulting with the Boca Group as a director of operation, Larry has first-hand experience trying to balance the demands of daily service in 14 restaurants with all of the back-end juggling and front of house needs. The three decades designing, opening and running food businesses has taught this "old dog" more than a few tricks and when it comes to tech he has seen it all. Larry's perspective offers an interesting point of view about why some tech works, some doesn't and why old-school isn't allows the wrong way to go. Larry is the perfect person to lead a talk about finding solutions to marrying hospitality and tech in a way that works for both.
