Mary Pilon is the author of The Monopolists, the critically acclaimed and New York Times bestselling history of the board game, and the forthcoming "The Kevin Show" (Bloomsbury March 2018). A regular contributor to The New Yorker, Esquire, Fast Company, MSNBC, Vice, Politico, and Bloomberg BusinessWeek, among other news outlets, Pilon is an award-winning journalist who has been a staff reporter covering sports at the New York Times and business at the Wall Street Journal. She worked as an Emmy-nominated producer for NBC Sports at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Her work has been featured in the Best American Sportswriting and she made the Forbes magazine's first-ever 30 Under 30 list for media. A fledgling marathoner and a native Oregonian, she now lives in Brooklyn. Her grandmother claims to be her biggest fan.
