Hongjie Li

Li Hongjie is a Promoter, Record Producer, Music Critic and Column Writer. He is the Founder of InMusic Festival, and the Founder of MTA Festival. LI has worked for music industry almost 20 years. LI has abundant media and music industry working experience and complete professional knowledge system. He is familiar with domestic and western music, especially for rock and hiphop music. He has specific insights and cognitions on music and many years of listening experience and research. He has keen market sense on youth subculture and ability on grasping the trend. He has a good cooperation relationship and a broad network of resources with China’s entertainment industry and records industry. He used to worked as the editor-in-chief for INMUSIC (Formerly ROLLING STONE CHINA) magazine, he also worked for XMUSIC(Tong Su Ge Qu) magazine as editor-in-chief before he moved to Beijing. At the same time he started to become a live music promoter since 2002. He started “Rock Your Life” series music tour in 2002. Since then he became one of the most active promoters of Chinese Hip Hop Scene, known as “The Godfather of Chinese Hip Hop”. From 2007 to 2008, he worked for Midi Festival and Modern Sky Festival as the Director of Production. Since then he has founded many well-known festivals in China. In 2009, he founded Zhangbei InMusic Festival which now has been one of the biggest festival in China. In 2010, he founded Music Funhill Festival. In 2013, he founded visionable Jazz Festival and MamaPapa Festival. In 2015, he has started his own startup company YEMA Live, which focus on concert live streaming online. In 2016, he has founded MTA Festival.
