Samira Saba
Samira Saba is in charge of the Communications department of Smartmatic, where she defines and coordinates the strategies for the technological solutions, products and services created by the company. Saba has worked side by side with the CEO devising media campaigns to increase awareness on the benefits of auditable voting systems as well as the importance of technology in the advancement of societies around the world.
Before her present duties in Smartmatic, Samira worked in several important internet portals where, among others, she was in charge of the content of the digital edition of El Universal (Venezuelan newspaper), where she coordinated the publishing of articles demanding the right to vote for Venezuelans living abroad. This led to the Electoral Authority to open voting centers in embassies around the world for the first time.
Samira Saba has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a Master’s degree in Organizational Communication, both from the Andres Bello Catholic University in Caracas.
