Ellie Bessette

Ellie Bessette coordinates all LGBT Tech’s programs, fundraising and works with our executive team around daily operations. With a background in fundraising, Ellie leads the charge to grow programs like PowerOn, empowering LGBTQ individuals by providing hardware (computers, tablets, laptops and cell phones), technology education and information about low cost broadband. A native of western Massachusetts, Ellie was born and raised in Northampton, MA, one of the nation’s most diverse, LGBT-friendly towns. After transferring to central Virginia, Ellie is excited to join the LGBT Tech team and looks forward to growing the national programs. Before joining LGBT Tech, Ellie started her fundraising career at the Northfield Mount Hermon School, and then joined the Dakin Humane Society, surrounded by the amazing hearts of animals in need. Ellie graduated from Mount Holyoke College.

Ellie lives with her husband and three cats in gorgeous central Virginia.
