Tyler Florence has captivated millions of viewers on numerous hit shows, including Emmy nominated “Tyler’s Ultimate,” and “The Great Food Truck Race,” now in its 17th season. His reach and influence extends well beyond his cooking shows. Tyler has authored 17 cookbooks, including his newest release, "American Grill: 125 Recipes for Mastering Live Fire," hitting shelves May 2024, and has built a dynamic business across many platforms.
A graduate of Johnson & Wales University , and a two-time James Beard Award nominee for Best Chef West Coast, Tyler launched his award-winning flagship restaurant, Wayfare Tavern, over a decade ago. His highly acclaimed San Francisco restaurant, Miller & Lux, recently named Best Steakhouse in the Bay Area by San Francisco Magazine, is located in the Chase Center, home of the Golden State Warriors. He also operates Tyler Florence Fresh, his outpost in San Francisco International Airport. Tyler’s most recent openings are Miller & Lux Hualalai, located at The Four Seasons on the Big Island of Hawaii, and Miller & Lux Provisions Patisserie and Rotisserie Cafes in San Francisco's Union Square.
Tyler is co-host of a popular weekly iHeartRadio podcast with Wells Adams, titled: Two Dudes in a Kitchen. A hub for culinary knowledge and entertaining conversation, each episode starts off with a food focus before evolving into engaging discussions around anything and everything.
Tyler’s insatiable quest for what’s current and interesting in the food and lifestyle space has always positioned him at the forefront of new trends, gaining him a large and engaged social media following. He calls Corte Madera, California home, where he lives in an 1890’s Bernard Maybeck home with his wife and children.
