Currently the Head of Music Partnerships at Instagram, Lauren Wirtzer Seawood leads all efforts to connect artists and brands with Instagram’s 800 Million-plus global community. Since joining Instagram in November 2015, Lauren has revamped the platform’s digital strategy and distribution initiatives and has led its partnerships program and initiatives for the music industry. With nearly two decades of experience, her skill set ranges across the technology and music industries.
Previously the Head of Digital at Beyonce’s entertainment and management company, Parkwood Entertainment, Lauren held a critical role in the launch of Beyonce’s first self-titled visual album – the fastest-selling album in the history of the iTunes Store. Her expertise in artist, brand and event management, coupled with her refined know-how in digital strategy and marketing, has enabled Lauren to effectively lead and create content initiatives to resonate with worldwide audiences.
During her time at Zynga, she implemented entertainment, brand and celebrity partnerships across the company’s portfolio. Lauren managed integrations and relationships with musicians and brands like Michael Buble, American Express and NBC. Lauren’s foundation was built in the music world, and throughout her 10-plus years with Def Jam Enterprises, she became experienced in strategic partnerships and operations. Her responsibilities included managing brands and artists, as well as developing and incorporating content marketing across all digital platforms.
A graduate of New York University, Lauren resides in Brooklyn, New York with her family.
