Dr. Zhana Vrangalova is a NYC-based sex educator and adjunct professor of Human Sexuality at New York University. She holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology from Cornell University where she studied casual sex, nonmonogamy, and sexual orientation, and her scholarly research has been published in several academic journals.

Dr. Zhana also works to bring accurate scientific information about sexuality to the general audience by sharing new sex science on social media (all @DrZhana), hosting her own podcast with Joe Pardavila called The Science of Sex, sharing her #SexyInsightswithDrZ in the form of YouTube videos, writing for popular media websites such as Forbes, PornHub Wellness, Psychology Today, NY Daily News, Playboy, Alternet, and Teen Vogue, tirelessly giving media interviews, talks/workshops, and private sex education sessions.

In 2015, she gave a TEDx Talk entitled "Is Casual Sex Bad For You?” and she’s currently writing a book on the science of healthy hookups. She also runs the CasualSexProject.com (a place for people to share their true hookup stories), and her own website/blog can be found at DrZhana.com.
