Erik Bang

Erik joined the H&M Foundation in 2014 as the lead for innovation, to set up the H&M Foundation’s efforts within the focus area Planet. He developed and is responsible for the world’s biggest competition for early stage innovation – the Global Change Award, launched in 2015. In 2018 he was named Sweden's "#1 Super talent" by the largest business weekly Veckans Affärer.

Erik also initiated and oversees a pioneering collaboration with The Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA), with the goal of providing the industry with a solution for separation and recycling of blend textiles, for free.

Erik holds a Master in Political Science from Uppsala University in Sweden. He has also a background in communication and PR, as well as promoting Swedish industry in emerging markets and supporting managers who work in complex environments.

Erik is a Swedish national with a passion for alpine skiing and he lives in Stockholm.
