Avery Gilbert

Avery N. Gilbert is a smell scientist, entrepreneur, and author. .

He is a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and a scientific pioneer in the areas of olfactory mental imagery, multisensory correlates of odor perception, and the psychological factors that bias odor judgments. He founded three olfactory-related startups, and is the author of the highly praised What the Nose Know: The Science of Scent in Everyday life.

His newest company, Headspace Sensory LLC, is quantifying the aroma profiles of different cannabis strains.

Through Synesthetics, Inc. he consults on user experience and product development of scented consumer goods and technology.
