Nikhil Goel
Nikhil is the Head of Product for Advanced Programs at Uber Technologies in San Francisco. Advanced Programs, a group led by Uber's Chief Product Officer, Jeff Holden, focuses on future-forward initiatives to advance Uber's core mission of providing reliable, ubiquitous transportation and making cities more efficient. In this role, Nikhil serves as Product Manager for Elevate, Uber's initiative to accelerate on-demand, urban aviation. Their product, uberAIR, will launch in Dallas with experimental flights in 2020. Nikhil and Jeff, with help from a team of industry experts, recently co-authored a lengthy whitepaper detailing Uber's goal to accelerate the ecosystem for bringing electric vertical-takeoff-and-landing (VTOL) aircraft to market on their platform.
Nikhil previously held roles in consumer technology with McKinsey's Silicon Valley Office and as a PM at Google/YouTube and Microsoft/Xbox. He first grew a love for aerospace within engineering positions at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center and SAIC. He has also founded and served as CEO of two consumer web startups, Bitcast.io and Chachii.com. Nikhil grew up in Huntsville, Alabama ("Rocket City") and received a degree in Computer Engineering from Vanderbilt University.
