Sam Baber fell backwards into the function known as HR twenty years ago after a brief stint in the entertainment industry. His early years were focused on university recruiting at Dell, Edward Jones and Tyco Electronics before moving over to start-up land in Austin and managing recruiting, training and departments for Bazaarvoice, Affiniscape, Adometry, Mass Relevance/Spredfast and CognitiveScale. Currently, he manages his own consulting firm in Texas focused on working with executives on best practices, compliance, coaching, and talent development.
