Luis Gaitán
Born in Mexico, he grew up and studied his entire advertising career in France, graduating with a Master in Marketing and Advertising Strategy at the University of Paris Pantheón-Assas. There he began his career as a creative working for several years in agencies such as Lowe Lintas, J. Walter Thompson, Publicis and LittleBig.
In 2007 he joins DoubleYou Barcelona where he immerses himself into the digital world as a creative director and adding his offline advertising experience he participates in the agency's rise as a benchmark for Ibero-American integrated advertising.
In October 2011, after 20 years in Europe, he moved back to Mexico to found the first DoubleYou headquarters in the Americas, taking on the challenge of turning it into an advertising reference in the country, from his position as General Creative Director.
Winner at Cannes, One Show, New York Festivals, El Sol, FIAP, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, Eurobest, EFFIE, IAB, Quorum, Círculo de Oro and Wave festivals among others, with 7 Grand Prix achieved in different disciplines and more than 140 awards and accolades received all along his caree, he is responsible for the first Gold Lion in Cyber in the history of Mexico with the Comex ColorMaps campaign.
After leading as General Creative Director at JWT and General Manager and GCD at Proximity BBDO, in 2016 he joins Google as Head of Creative.
Since December 2016 he also assumed the presidency of the Círculo Creativo de Mexico, the Mexican association of creatives.
Last but not least, he is a proud board member of the conspiracy to change advertising.
