Philip Galanter
Prof. Galanter is an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University, Department of Visualization. The department includes both artists and computer scientists, and students are expected to master both creative media and programming practices. His work includes art making, technical research, publishing art theory, and curating. His artworks include generative hardware systems, light sculptures, video and sound art installations, digital fine art prints, and light-box transparencies. The work has been shown in the United States, Canada, Netherlands, Peru, Portugal, Italy, and Tunisia. Venues have included the College Art Association, ISEA (formerly Inter-Society for the Electronic Arts), IEEE VIS (The visualization section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), and the International Computer Music Conference.
