Steph Habif
Dr. Steph Habif is a behavioral scientist with 20 years of experience leading healthcare teams on ways to design for consumer engagement. She advocates for consumers by doing user research and testing to ensure needs are met; and helps teams understand the behavioral psychology of their users to pave the way for meaningful + impactful outcomes.
For 10 years Steph has been an independent consultant, leading research projects for companies such as Whole Foods Market, Tandem Diabetes, Aetna, Amgen, Yogaglo, and GoPro. When not working in industry, Dr. Habif spends her time in academia; currently with the Design Lab at UC San Diego. She has held teaching appointments at Stanford University's Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (also known as: the d.school), Columbia University, University of North Carolina, Washington University at St. Louis, and Victoria University of Technology.
Steph recently joined Tandem Diabetes Care as Senior Director of Behavioral Sciences. In this role she leads human factors and market research to ensure insights effectively translate to design and communications.
