Angel Giuffria
Angel Giuffria is a working actress, public speaker, and is graduating in the Spring with her Master’s degree in Psychology. Her research has centered around stigma experienced by amputees and those with limb difference in the able-bodied world. She has over 28 years of experience in the field of prosthetic devices. She was born missing her left arm below the elbow and was fit with a myoelectric (muscle-powered) hand at 4 months making her the youngest in the world to wear the device. She has passionately engaged in a lifetime quest for the best, high-tech prosthetic devices and believes that prosthetic devices should be just as individualized, personal, and customized for the user as any other person's limb is to them. For Angel, this includes remote multi-colored lights, mini-bluetooth speakers, changeable aesthetic covers, and other cool modifications. Angel is also a brand Champion for Ottobock and has worn the bebionic hand since its release in 2015.
