Nick Savides
I am a Baton Rouge filmmaker and the host of The nsavides Podcast. I co-organize the Screenwriters Down South, a screenwriting group in Baton Rouge, and I also work for Canon, providing support for the CPS and Cinema EOS divisions.
The nsavides Podcast is for filmmakers, musicians, and creative people who rely on collaboration to do amazing things and want to make the world better in some way.
Recent guests include Frank Oz, the performer behind Yoda, Miss Piggy, & Fozzie Bear; Dan Laustsen the director of photography on The Shape of Water & Crimson Peak; and Mark Hornsby, a mixer and producer who has worked with musicians like Alison Krauss & Carl Verheyen.
In 2016 my podcast was included in Mentorless’s list of notable film and creativity podcasts. This year I will be doing a live podcast session with a producer, director, and director of photography from Fable House, a production company in Baton Rouge that has produced over $2 million in content.
Whether shooting commercials for Marriott, Toyota, and Airbnb, working with artists like Kendrick Lamar and 30 Seconds to Mars, directing films with all kinds of creatures (including the dreaded zombie shark!) or doing visual effects for projects like Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Game of Thrones, and X Men: Days of Future Past, Matt Bell, Misty Talley, and Sam Claitor truly have experiences that run the gamut of what creative work can be.
Our session happens on March 14 , 11:00 AM at the Fairmont Hotel in the Wisteria Room. We hope you'll join us!
