Timur Bekmambetov

Pioneering digital and tech-driven filmmaking, Bekmambetov is the inventor of the Screenlife format, in which the action takes place entirely on a screen. His movies Unfriended and Searching grossed $65 and $75M respectively worldwide. In 2018, his cyber-thriller Profile won the audience award at SXSW. Bekmambetov recently released a second season of Snap Original hit-series Dead of Night, signed a 5-picture Screenlife deal with Universal and is working on a sequel to Searching with Sony.
