Laurent Crenshaw

"Laurent Crenshaw is the head of federal affairs for Yelp Inc. In this role he serves as the point person in Washington D.C. on federal public policy for Yelp and has worked on issues relating to anti-SLAPP legislation, Internet Freedom, patents, consumer protection and promoting online competition."

Prior to joining Yelp, Laurent was a congressional staffer in the House of Representatives for eleven years. While there, he served as the Legislative Director for Representative Darrell Issa (CA-49). In this role, Laurent oversaw all legislation produced by Rep. Issa's office, specifically the telecomm, intellectual property and judiciary committee portfolios. He served as the lead staffer under Rep. Issa in the fight against SOPA and PIPA in the House of Representatives and helped to craft the OPEN Act.

Laurent holds a BA in International Relations from Stanford University and a Juris Doctor degree from American University’s Washington College of Law.
