Casey Aden-Wansbury has nearly two decades of experience leading communications and political strategy at the national level. As Airbnb’s Director of Federal Affairs and Engagement, Casey leads Airbnb's federal government and national political outreach, setting strategy and leading engagement with the U.S. Congress, federal agencies, national NGO partners, and other major national stakeholders. Casey previously served as Airbnb’s Director of Global Public Affairs, where she scaled up a global policy communications team and oversaw communications for Airbnb’s regional public policy campaigns worldwide. Prior to joining Airbnb, Casey served as chief of staff to U.S. Senator Al Franken (D-MN), where she led all aspects of the senator’s Senate and campaign strategy and operations during his first term, culminating in his 2014 re-election victory margin of more than 200,000 votes (up from a slim 312 in 2008). Casey previously managed communications for U.S. Vice President Al Gore, U.S. Senator Joe Lieberman (D-CT) and the Children’s Defense Fund. A proud graduate of Smith College, Casey lives with her husband in San Francisco.
