Katie Doering
Katie Doering has been the producer of Sundance Catalyst and the Women at Sundance Initiatives since 2015. Sundance Catalyst connects culturally-engaged film investors and funders with highly-anticipated fiction and documentary film projects at the Sundance community. Women at Sundance works to foster gender parity in American cinema by supporting female filmmakers to develop their stories, find audiences for their work and grow and sustain their careers.
Prior to her work at the Institute, Katie worked in documentary film and nonfiction television production for A&E, PBS, TLC and Discovery Channel. Recently, she produced the documentary feature Angry Sky for ESPN’s Emmy Award-winning 30 for 30 series, which premiered at the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival. She also co- produced Meet the Hitlers, which premiered on Showtime in 2015. Katie also co-produced the acclaimed documentary The Wild and Wonderful Whites, executive produced by Johnny Knoxville and distributed by Tribeca Films. She began her career as an Assistant to the Producer on Martin Scorsese’s The Blues, before working at the PBS series P.O.V., television’s longest-running showcase for independent nonfiction films.
