Vashon Citizen leads the Customer Engagement Solutions Branch within the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Customer Service and Public Engagement Directorate (CSPED). Supported by a team of government and contractor staff, her branch implements innovative solutions to improve the experience of customers contacting USCIS for customer service support. Vashon began her career at USCIS in 2011 managing the agency’s organizational performance measures. In this role, Vashon developed the first USCIS Organizational Performance Management Handbook. Prior to USCIS, she worked for the Department of Defense (DOD), Business Transformation Agency leading several operational initiatives. Before joining DOD, Vashon had an extensive private sector career leading management consulting engagements for federal and state clients. She earned both her Master of Business Administration and undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia.
