Anna Holmes

Anna Holmes is currently Sr. Vice President of Editorial for First Look Media's Topic.com, the new direct-to-consumer arm of the company's film/tv/digital studio. Holmes is also an award-winning writer and editor who has worked with numerous publications, including the New York Times, The Washington Post, and The New Yorker online. In 2007, as a recovering writer for magazines like Glamour and Cosmopolitan, she revolutionized women’s media and national discussions around gender, race and politics by creating the popular website Jezebel.com,  The author of two books and a onetime host of the Panoply podcast “About Race," Anna also works as a columnist for the New York Times Book Review and has appeared on such programs as NPR’s “All Things Considered,” NBC’s “Today,” and CNN’s “State of the Union” and at events like the Aspen Ideas Festival, Women in the World and SXSW.
