An oversees ARRI's Emerging Filmmaker Grant programs for the Americas and is involved with the International Support Program. ARRI recognizes the need to support independent storytellers with tools to bring their visions to screen by offering equipment loans for camera and lighting. Projects that have been supported through ARRI initiatives include WILDLING (SXSW 2018), OPERATOR, BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD, FRUITVALE STATION, HELLO I MUST BE GOING, DRUNKTOWN'S FINEST, IMPERIAL DREAMS, RESULTS and more.
As a writer and photojournalist, An has covered culture and technology for the past decade. Her articles and interviews have appeared in American Cinematographer, Filmmaker, Exposure, In Camera, Videography, LAist and the Los Angeles Times. She is a member of the Producers Guild of America, Technology Committee of the American Society of Cinematographers and the Digital Cinema Society. She is a Film Independent Producers Lab Fellow and Film Independent Project: Involve Fellow for writing and directing. An has produced episodes for the groundbreaking Futurestates series for PBS and ITVS. She recently directed/produced THE FILMMAKERS VIEW - a documentary web series featuring interviews with Ang Lee, Roger Deakins, Francis Ford Coppola and more. An is a graduate of the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts and School of English.
