Michael Oehler

Michael Oehler has been studying systematic music-science, language-science and phonetics at the University of Cologne. After various career stations e.g. at Sony Music Entertainment in New York and the WDR in Cologne, he has been partner at IAMP Solutions. A company developing technical and conceptional solutions for musical acoustic and sound synthesis, as well as the digital storage, management and online marketing of data in the fields of music and science.

He earned his PhD 2007 with a dissertation about systematic music science at the „Hochschule für Musik und Medien“ Hannover.

After various lectorships at international universities, he hold professorships at the Cologne Macromedia University for Media and Communications, the HSD University Duesseldorf and 
since early 2017 at the University of Osnabrueck (professorship for music and media technology).
