Anniina Koivu
Anniina Koivu is a design editor, teacher and consultant. After graduating as an architect from Helsinki Aalto University, Finland, Anniina was design editor of Abitare magazine in Italy (2007-2011). She then held the position of Director of Research and Head of International PR & Partnerships at Vitra (2011-2014). In 2013 she was appointed Head of Theory of the Master’s programs in Product Design, Photography and Typography at the University of Art and Design Lausanne ECAL, Switzerland. She co-curated the exhibition Life of Foot about the footwear brand Camper, held at the London Design Museum (2015). Anniina has contributed to a number of books on and is editor-in-chief of Interwoven, an online magazine that she launched together with Kvadrat in 2016. She is currently leading a research project that builds a taxonomy of failures in furniture manufacturing and questions the possibilities to bring back design products, that are currently out of catalogue, back into production.
