Luis Sentis PhD
Luis Sentis is an Associate Professor in Aerospace at the University of Texas at Austin and co-founder of Apptronik Systems Inc. He received a Ph.D. from Stanford University and was a La Caixa Foundation Fellow. He worked in Silicon Valley in the high-tech sector leading R&D projects in automation. In Austin, he leads the Human Centered Robotics Laboratory. He investigates areas related to realtime optimal control of human-centered robots, manufacturing exoskeletons and humanoid robots, and safety protocols for mobile robots. He publishes scientific research in top-tier scientific journals and proceedings. He is recipient of NASA's Elite Team Award for his contributions to NASA Johnson Space Center. He serves as a member of the University of Texas System National Security Advisory Committee.
