Joe Lockhart is the Executive Vice President of Communications & Government Affairs for the National Football League where he has overseen the League’s response to multiple issues, from the controversy over concussions to the response to Colin Kaepernick protests.
Lockhart is also recognized as one of the most talented communications experts and issues management strategists in the nation, having served as Press Secretary to President Bill Clinton in 1998, and as President of Global Communications for Facebook. A veteran of team sports in a sense, Lockhart’s NFL experience is preceded by years of managing political footballs on campaigns. Lockhart has served as the senior advisor to Sen. John Kerry (2004), Clinton-Gore (1996) and Dukakis - Bentsen (1988). He was the founder of what is now acknowledge to be one of the most successful PR agencies in this century: The Glover Park Group.
