Dan Murrell
Dan has been fascinated with how digital entities can communicate with humans ever since he first saw C3PO, R2D2, and HAL. He's wondered how we could get there from here, and writes mobile software and bots because they might be the way. An avid reader all his life, he once met his childhood hero Stephen King at a book signing, and had a nice impromptu chat after mentioning to Steve he named his son after the iconic Gunslinger.
Dan's science fiction piece 'Gerald 1.0' was selected as a finalist for the 2017 David Carr Prize at SXSW.
Dan has degrees in Communication, History, and Sociology from Mississippi State University, and is a software architect at Mutual Mobile in Austin, TX.
