Dominic Falcão

Dom is one of 2 Directors at DSV, a hypothesis-lead venture builder creating high impact science companies from scratch.

Twice a year, they select an elite, multidisciplinary group of scientists and engineers and support them to start high impact science companies. Founders join the programme pre-team, pre-idea and receive 6 months of funding (up to £110,000 per team).

Having worked in a world-leading research institute before starting an impact focused VC fund, Dom has therefore got experience in the full journey of science commercialisation, allowing a unique overview of the way in which ideas and teams can evolve in the process, the critical bottlenecks in both academia and translation, and the key features required for success.
