After spending 15 years as a Technology Director in the financial services and advertising, Tony Pinville went back to University to obtain a PhD in a field that was still very uncommon then: Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning.
That’s where he met Charles Ollion, with whom he launched Heuritech in 2013. Heuritech has developed an industry-leading visual recognition solution. Each day, Heuritech analyses more than millions untagged images on social media and is capable of detecting subtleties in fashion and luxury products (such as colours, shapes, patterns, brands). The solution aims to assist houses to anticipate tomorrow’s trends and know their clients better by providing real-time insights into a personalised dashboard.
Winner of the LVMH Innovation Award at Vivatech 2017, Heuritech raised a seed round of 1,1 million euros led by the venture fund Serena Capital as their first participation in the AI field, a market forecast to reach over $16Bn by 2022.
