Hillary Frey

Hillary Frey is director of editorial strategy at HuffPost. Over her 20-year career in media, she's run digital newsrooms at NBC News, Fusion and Yahoo! News; re-tooled and relaunched sections and publications at Politico and Adweek; run media and culture coverage at the New York Observer under Peter Kaplan; and books coverage at Salon.com and The Nation. She started her career at Lingua Franca, the erstwhile magazine that covered academic life, as managing editor. In 2016 she ran Matter Studios, a media and creative incubator funded by Twitter co-founder Ev Williams. At HuffPost, she oversees "Listen to America," a multiplatform initiative to hear, first-hand, the concerns of people across the country and to bolster collaborations with local newsrooms and independent publishers . She lives in Brooklyn.
