Alan Pellegrini

Alan Pellegrini is the North American Chief Executive of Thales. As the region’s top executive, he leads business operations for each of the company’s markets – aerospace, defense and security, and transport.

With an aggressive strategy for growth, he is shaping new approaches for business innovation and entrepreneurship. Coupled with a vision for digitally transforming Thales alongside a smart acquisition strategy, he is focused on four key disruptive technologies – artificial intelligence, big data connectivity and cyber security.

Mr. Pellegrini was the leading force behind the launch of Thales xPlor – an innovation and entrepreneurship practice which leverages engagement with academic and start-up communities.

Mr. Pellegrini has driven an aggressive business acquisition strategy for Thales in North America. In 2014, he supported the successful acquisition of LiveTV – an inflight connectivity solutions provider – from JetBlue; in 2016 the acquisition of Vormetric – a cybersecurity encryption firm; and in 2017 the acquisition of Guavus - a real-time, big data analytics company. His vision is for continued double digit growth in the region to strengthen the company’s global presence.

Mr. Pellegrini is also a 2016 inductee for the Wash100 – the most influential leaders in government contracting by Executive Mosaic.
