Rafa Calil
Rafa Calil graduated at Cinema School, directed lots of projects for cable tv channels and MTV Brasil, mostly reality shows and documentaries, one of his works, a doc about “funk carioca” was aired on MTV Europe. He also coordinated a film workshop held in Africa. At the end of 2008, he founded Duo2 where he is currently acts as a director and producer. Lately he directed a 32 episode series called BR-14 - Route to Immigration, a co-production with TV Brasil that was broadcasted in 12 countries. Now he is directing a series called "Mobilas"for History Channel as well as developing 2 projects, "The Mistery of the Pink Dolphin", an international co-production with France, and "Sertão in Ashes", which got selected for DocMontevideo and Tribeca Pitchings. Recently directed a branded content series for Emirates in partnership with National Geographic Brazil. Right now, he's directing a series on stand up comedians creation process for Comedy Central Brazil and is directing "ForestAR" a Cross Media Documentary about Forest People and Chico Mendes legacy.
