Johanna Murphy
Johanna Murphy is a marketing, eCommerce and digital-transformation expert, providing advisory services to C-level executives in North America and Europe.
Most recently, she was the Global Chief Marketing Officer of rag & bone, where she was responsible for all marketing, communications, creative and brand initiatives, in addition to store design and visual merchandising. She also owned the eCommerce business and led the brand’s marketing and digital transformations across all channels globally.
Johanna earned a reputation as a leader in the digital space during her tenure as VP of eCommerce at Kate Spade & Company. There she was responsible for the company’s overall global digital strategy in addition to the sales growth, marketing, merchandising, creative, fulfillment, customer service, customer experience and global expansion of the online and mobile businesses of kate spade new york, Kate Spade Saturday and Jack Spade.
Prior to joining Kate Spade, Johanna held several leadership roles at GSI Commerce (eBay Enterprises), including Vice President of eCommerce, where she led the fashion and luxury practice, serving clients such as Burberry, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Betsey Johnson and Tumi, and Senior Director of User Experience and Design.
She also previously held Managing Director roles at both Razorfish and Scient. She began her career in marketing with stints on the client and agency side.
Johanna has held Board of Director positions at Noodles & Co. (NASDAQ: NDLS), where she was member of the audit committee, and Shop.org, the online division of the National Retail Federation. She was a Business Mentor in the CFDA Fashion Incubator Program and was named one of the Top 50 Women in Brand Marketing by Brand Innovators.
