Judith Arcana
Judith Arcana is a writer of stories, poems, essays and books – and a Jane, a member of Chicago's pre-Roe feminist underground abortion service. "What if your mother", published in 2005, is Judith's collection of poems and monologues about abortion and other motherhood themes. Some of her Jane-related stories are in online journals; one about the coming overturn of Roe is a zine (Keesha and Joanie and JANE), and another, "Soon To Be A Major Motion Picture", is an award-winning chapbook about the time JANE was raided by the Chicago police.
