Maria Yuan

Maria Yuan is the Founder of IssueVoter, a non-partisan platform that helps users make their voice heard in Washington & track how elected officials vote – holding politicians accountable & informing decisions at election time. IssueVoter's mission is to give everyone a voice in our democracy by making civic engagement accessible, efficient, & impactful. IssueVoter is turning slacktivism into activism and has been featured in Forbes, Fast Company, MTV, PBS, and more.
In politics, Maria has experience introducing and passing a bill & working in a State Representative’s office. It was working as a campaign manager and winning one of the most targeted races in Iowa where the idea for IssueVoter began. Maria’s writing on politics has been in The Hill & Huff Post & she has spoken at conferences including the Social Innovation Summit.
Maria’s professional experience also spans recruiting, social enterprise, investment banking, strategy, and corporate development.
