Karen Tay
Karen is the tech ambassador for Singapore, ranked the #1 global smart city. She shares Singapore's Smart Nation and Digital Government initiatives internationally building relationships with academia, start-ups, think-tanks and businesses. Karen facilitates conversations that bridge tech and public policy for the US-Asiapac communities.
She is an Advisor on government tech strategy within the Prime Ministers' Office and consultant to senior management on organizational changes, policies and the processes required to achieve smart nation/industry development objectives. Prior to this role she served as Sr Assistant Director for the Singapore Ministry of Education.
Karen is the founder of Technology and Public Good, a blog focused on how Tech, Business and Government can solve the biggest social challenges of our time.
She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Princeton University and with Highest Honors from the University of Oxford. She is fluent in Mandarin, English and Spanish.
