Alan Cohn

Alan Cohn is an attorney and consultant in Washington, DC. He is Of Counsel at Steptoe & Johnson LLP, co-chair of the firm’s Blockchain and Digital Currency practice, and counsel to the Blockchain Alliance, a public-private forum for blockchain companies to engage with law enforcement and regulatory agencies. Alan counsels companies on cybersecurity, blockchain and distributed ledger technology, and national security issues. He was the Assistant Secretary for Strategy, Planning, Analysis & Risk and second-in-charge overall of the DHS Office of Policy, focusing on issues like future trends, national security risk, and emerging challenges.
