Tim Hsia
Tim was born and raised in Tallahassee, FL and graduated from West Point as a distinguished honor graduate. Tim commissioned as an infantry officer in the US Army and deployed twice to Iraq. He wrote about his military experience for the New York Times and has published essays in the Los Angeles Times and Armed Forces Journal.
After leaving active duty, Tim graduated from Stanford’s JD/MBA program. After graduate school, Tim did business development and partnerships at Pocket (acquired by Mozilla) and has invested and helped startups fundraise and scale.
Tim started Media Mobilize, an online ad network that also operates its own publication, Daily Pnut, “a daily email on world affairs that will brighten your mornings and make you sound marginally more intelligent.”
Tim is the co-founder and CEO of Service to School (S2S), a nonprofit that helps veterans successfully apply to higher education programs. S2S partners with many of the nation’s top educationa
