Monika Mikkelsen
A California native with strong Danish roots, Monika graduated from UCLA in 1991 and has been involved in casting ever since. Her list of credits includes studio features such as SERVING SARA, THE CLEANER, Rob Zombie’s THE DEVIL’S REJECTS and his HALLOWEEN franchise films. Independent film is what claims her heart, starting with THE MILLION DOLLAR HOTEL for director Wim Wenders, NURSE BETTY for Neil Labute, and the precious treasures that live long and prosper in the festival world, like THE STORY OF LUKE, LEARNING TO DRIVE, SMILEY FACE, ALL GOD’S CHILDREN CAN DANCE, LOVE LIZA, and MY LIFE WITHOUT YOU. As the indie world shifts to accommodate new media and the explosion of cable programming, Monika has taken refuge at Paramount Pictures, where she is tracking actors for a legion of projects across media platforms. She enjoys grey skies, contrary people and crazy dogs.
