Sandy Dochen is responsible for a variety of innovative technology applications that serve IBM communities in Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana. He manages such IBM initiatives as the Smarter Cities Challenge, World Community Grid, Corporate Service Corps, Reading Companion, Traducelo Ahora and On Demand Community.

Sandy also serves on several state and regional boards, including the Texas Business & Education Coalition, Workforce Solutions Capital Area, and the Austin Area Research Organization. He was a founder of the Texas Early Childhood and Education Coalition and has chaired Workforce Solutions, Austin Partners in Education and the Jewish Federation of Austin. He also serves as a Member of Advisory Board at KUT.

Prior to joining IBM in 1999, he served in many other government, technology-related and communications roles. Sandy holds degrees in Journalism and Political Science from The University of Texas at Austin.
